It's the end of the world!

It's 1:50am, Saturday 21st May 2011. Armageddon is upon us!!!!!!

Ok i'm joking. Am i dead? No, i'm not and neither are you if you're reading this. The world is still very much here....here, as we know it. Australia and New Zealand are probably already at 6 or 7am. We still have no news of the so-called end of the world. It really breaks my heart to see many doomsday prophets springing up at such an alarming rate. 


Before anyone misunderstands me, let me just make something clear:
1. Will the world end someday (Judgement day?) YES
2. Will the world end on Saturday 21st May 2011? NO


The bible clearly states that Jesus will return one day to judge the world. For Christians, it will be a time to go home to be with God.

John 14:2
Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. You know the way to the place where I am going

It should be noted, however, that the day nor the hour is unknown to all. Only God the Father knows!

Mark 13:32-33
 “But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. Be on guard! Be alert! You do not know when that time will come"


That day will come when we LEAST expect it. How convenient it would be if we all knew the exact day and time. We would live in sin and only repent at the very last minute. Pity! It doesn't exactly work that way.


But the real issue we should be thinking is about is this....what if tomorrow was judgement day for real. Would you be in the right place with God? Would you be considered worthy to see heaven and to be with the Lord? Unfortunately, it will be too late when that day actually comes. Now is the time to make the decision to choose HIM.


Forget about the publicity hungry cults. Forget about their many predictions and what-nots. The world is so not ending today, really. One day, 2012 will come and go. I will still be blogging about the end of the world that did not happen.
